Hi, My name is Tina Bostic. I just wanted to take quick minute to introduce myself as the official blogger for the Bolivia 2 trip July 5 thru July 13, 2013. I was advised by my leader (Cheryl) to tell you a little about myself....so here it goes. I am single and have 2 grown children. My daugher Brooke is 23 and a 1st grade teacher in Cabarrus County, and my son Dillon is 20 and works for Carolinas Healthcare System in a Pediatric Office in Charlotte. I have worked for Carolinas HealthCare System for 30 years. I am currently a Practice Manager for an Internal Medicine Practice in Charlotte.
I have been a member of LFC since 2007.I felt a strong calling to go on a mission trip this year. I have never been before, so I was not sure where God was leading me, I just knew that my answer was YES! After the first meeting, I still was not sure. But after prayer with my community group (The Motley Crew) it was clear & I was sure it was Bolivia. I can tell you I have never been out of the country, so this is a huge leap for me, but I could not be with a better group of people. I am quite a talker, so I cannot promise that the blogs during our mission will be short!
We are a team of 12...small but mighty!! We have met 3 times now as a group and are super excited to be going on this mission trip. We have some very experienced members and a couple first timers. We are wrapping up our fund raising and planning our Sidewalk Sunday schools games & songs now. We are also collecting medical supplies from Children's Impact Network wish list.
We are exactly 1 month, 5 days, 1 hour away from take off from Charlotte to Bolivia. (OK, I told you I was excited...I have a "Countdown to Bolivia app on my phone)
What we would like to ask all the LFC tribe for at this time are your daily prayers for our team!
Until next time,
Tina
